Daily Motivational Quote for April 20, 2011
Wednesday April 20, 2011
Today's quote comes from Theodore Roosevelt. it is one of my personal favorites. I was at my eighth grade wrestling banquet when my coach presented this quote to each team member on a little piece of paper. That was a few years ago, but it stuck with me. I hope you enjoy it.
The Battle of Life-
"In the battle of life it is not the critic who counts: not the man who points out how the strong one stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the one who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood.
Who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming.
Who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion, to spend themselves for a worthy cause; who, at their best, knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who, if they fail, at least they do so while daring greatly, so that their place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat." –Theodore Roosevelt
