August is a great time of the year. It is the middle of summer and we are outside enjoying the weather and sharing in all of the outdoor activities that the season has to offer.

Swimming, boating, hiking and training outdoors in the martial arts are some of my favorite activities.

In the summer months it is very important to stay hydrated and watch your time in the sun. Wear loose fitting clothing made of natural fibers that can breathe and help to keep you cool.
