"I'll repeat something that you might consider tattooing on your forehead: What we fear doing most is usually what we most need to do." -Timothy Ferriss, author of The Four Hour Body

Ok, that might be a bit harsh, but Mr. Ferriss makes a very good point. The reason we fear what we most need to do is because what we most need to do will require change.

To get where you want to go in life, to fulfill your purpose, might require you to move to another state- or country. It might require you to change jobs- or leave your job altogether and start your own business.

We as humans fear change more than most anything else, well besides public speaking!

The thing is, change is most of all a test. When you are ready and the pain of not changing is greater than the pain of making change, you move forward.

Think of a baby bird in the nest. It wants to fly, it has seen other birds fly, but fear keeps it in the nest until one day it needs to fly in order to feed and sustain life. The potential pain of failure is overcome and even if it does not fly well at first, it will keep on trying until it can.

Learn to embrace change and you will have the courage to fly.
